The Chicago Chapter is the oldest Chapter in the Association and officially came into being as the Illinois State Chapter on March 25, 1946. On 15 April, 1948, the Illinois State Chapter reorganized to make room for more Illinois paratroopers and formally received its charter as the Chicago Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association.
The 82nd Airborne Division Association was honored on November 5, 1990 as it received a Congressional Charter and formal recognition from The United States Congress.
We invite all paratroopers and glidermen with any tie or interest to the Chicago area to join us as a member. It is only through our 'Airborne Bond' that we can help fellow troopers and maintain our connections.
